Pastor

Reverend Rebekah Maul became the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Brandon in 1996.  She is the mother of two grown children, Andrew Maul and Naomi Campbell, and the wife of Derek Maul, a local writer and author.  Reverend Maul is the daughter of a Presbyterian minister and grew up in Leesburg, Florida.  She attended Stetson University and Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. rebekah@fpcbrandon.org

Don Zegel
Director of the Praise Band and Praise Choir

Don has been part of the life of our church for a number of years. Besides playing his trombone and bass guitar for the Praise Band, Don has been part of the Low Brass, and has used his talent to arrange numerous pieces of music for the Praise Service of worship. Some of you may not know that Don ahs taught trombone and Jazz at the University of Tampa, Hillsborough Community College, and other schools of higher education, AND plays second Trombone for the Florida Orchestra. Prior to moving to Tampa in the late 1970s, Don was the trombonist for the United States Army Band. He brings to the position a spirit that is constantly seeking to dialogue honestly with faith issues, and how our gifts can be best utilized to enrich our relationship to God. don@fpcbrandon.org

Administrative Assistant

Joyce Allen served as the church secretary and financial secretary beginning in 1990 and became the Administrative Assistant in 1999. Originally from South Carolina, Joyce moved to Seffner, Florida in 1966 where she is a member of First Methodist Church. She received two degrees from Hillsborough Community College in Computer Programming and Elementary Education.  Joyce and her husband Wayne have two sons and five grandchildren. joyce@fpcbrandon.org

Kathy Kranendonk
Church Secretary and Preschool Director

Kathy Kranendonk joined First Prebyterian Church in 2000 with her husband, Gary, and two children, Nicole and Connor.  She became a teacher in our preschool in 2001 and rose to Preschool Director in 2004.  She has enjoyed playing in the Bell Choir since 2003 and is also the Director of the Children's Chime Choir.  Kathy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, a Director's Credential and a Childhood Development Associate certification from Hillsborough County. kathy@fpcbrandon.org or preschool@fpcbrandon.org

Lynn Pabst
Director of Youth Ministries

Lynn and her husband Ben have been members of First Presbyterian since 1982. They have raised both of their children, Chris - 25 and Meghann - 22, in the church and have been blessed by the many caring individuals who have become a part of their extended church family. Lynn has worked with the youth for the past 14 years and serving as the Director of Youth Ministries for the past seven. Lynn also teaches elementary age Sunday School, helps lead Vacation Bible School (VBS), and participates in the CUPIDS and POTS small groups. In her weekday work life, Lynn is the principal of New River Elementary School in Pasco county. spabst@pasco.k12.fl.us

Financial Manager

Andy Fonfara is the new Financial Manager, taking over for Marianne Evans, who was our interim finanancial manager after Brad Lanigan moved to Texas last fall. His easy spirit and patience is a good addition to the staff and to the ministry of finances. he and his family, Heather and their six children, have been part of our church family for a number of years, being actively involved with Faithful Families and various small groups. Debbie Billmaier became our kitchen coordinator in July 2000 and assumed custodial responsibilities in January of 2007.  She came to Brandon from Ohio in 1988 with husband, Dan.  They have two children, Danielle and Dylan.  Debbie loves to spend her free time reading, gardening, and enjoying the beach.
